Mentors guide a small group of young Africans through a structured cycle, with support from the programme team throughout. Get in touch and we will walk you through what the role involves.

Fit matters more than seniority
What we ask for
- Established experience in your field, in any sector
- Willingness to be held to the curriculum rather than improvise
- Comfort with young people who disagree with you
- A clean child protection record
What we do not require
- A degree, or any particular qualification
- Residence in Nigeria — mentors serve from across the continent and beyond
- Prior mentoring or teaching experience
- A financial contribution of any kind

Before you apply
- Can I mentor from outside Nigeria?
- Yes. Mentors serve from a number of countries and run their sessions online.
- What if my availability changes?
- Tell the programme team early. We can pair you with a co-mentor rather than move your mentees to someone they do not know.
- Do I choose my mentees?
- No. The programme team matches groups on field of interest and language, then reviews the match after the first month.
